Dangerous Decibels

Today we were lucky enough to have a visit from Tracey (from The Wanganui Hearing Association) to talk to us about Dangerous Decibels and how we can protect and look after our hearing. Tracey was very interesting and we learnt so much!

  1. It's important to protect our hearing for our safety and our relative's sanity! Many people that work with noisy machines can lose their hearing and it means they can't hear higher pitched sounds- especially voices of children or women- at the same time, some people think that is 'selective' hearing!

  2. I learnt a lot about sounds and what is good for your ears. What did you guys learn about sounds?
